Historic Preservation
Over the years, Griffin Properties has played an integral part in Fort Smith’s downtown revitalization effort. By combining 30 years building/design experience and their extensive real estate knowledge, Griffin Properties has developed the restoration skills necessary for the preservation of these local historic structures.
Griffin Properties has restored several well-known buildings including the St. Charles Building located on North 5th Street, Warner, Smith & Harris building located at 400 Rogers Avenue and a newly renovated upscale apartment building found on North 3rd Street. 300 Garrison Avenue, Fort SmithFaçade Dedication. The façade is all that remains at this location. The Reynolds Davis Wholesale Grocery Company used to stand at this location. The building was purchased by the Griffin Family in 1978. The façade was preserved by the Griffin Family after the devastating tornado during the night of April 21, 1996. A plaque has been installed on the façade for the interested citizens and tourists to read and learn of the history. |
305 Garrison Avenue, Fort SmithWe recently completed the renovation process of a 1 story retail space with a court yard. The building was originally built in the early 1900’s and has been occupied by several business over the years. |
